Priority links commissioned for use

Six optic fibre links have been commissioned for use by VERNet's member institutions.
The six links have been deployed in the past few weeks. They are:
- Bundoora to CBD
- Clayton to CBD
- Clayton to Berwick
- Clayton to Churchill
- Footscray Park to CBD
- Footscray Park to Footscray
VERNet has commissioned these links to allow members to realise immediate value from their investment in the network, while VERNet completes the rollout.
This is only possible where fibre and fibrestructure has been fully completed and tested. These links have only basic network services to begin with.
With these network links commissioned, VERNet will now focus on preparing the remaining optic fibre and infrastructure for 'production' release, with full network services, later this year.
