The education and research activities conducted at the Alfred Hospital are critical to not only Monash University but to La Trobe University and the many Research entities housed there.
VERNet is proud to have provisioned these services for Monash University and are currently working on provisioning two 1Gbps services for La Trobe University by the end of 2009.
The works completed at the Hospital enabling connectivity to the VERN has paved the way for VERNet to offer additional services to a number of interested Research entities located within the Alfred Centre.
This project was a prime example of one of the foundations on which VERNet was established that is collaboration between the company and members. VERNet would like to thank those involved at Monash University who helped build a relationship between VERNet and the Hospital. Without their assistance this project would have progressed at a much slower rate.
VERNet looks forward to providing more services to this site for both members and non members.
